Classroom Rules and expectations:

·         Come to class prepared & on time every day.

       Follow all instructions the 1^st time and adhere to all School Disciplinary Rules.

·         Remain seated unless otherwise directed.
       Refrain from talking when the teacher is talking.

·         Speak respectfully at all times to students and teachers in the classroom. No profanity allowed.

·          No cell phones allowed  (unless teacher grants permission for classroom activities).

    If a student breaks a rule or misbehaves in class, he or she will be given a warning.  If a student continues a behavior for which he or she has already received a warning, the parent will be contacted The Student may be given detention and/or an administrative referral for the offense.

Required Materials: Students will need to bring the following items to class each day:

·         3-ring binder with dividers: Warm-ups, Vocabulary, Grammar, Classwork,  Literacy (3rd block only).   **** The student will receive a grade for maintaining this notebook up to date and organized. Random Notebook checks will occur throughout the semester.

·         Pencils (#2)

·         Eraser

·         Blue or black pens

·         loose-leaf lined paper

·         Practice book. (A practice book will be assigned to each student)

                                       Students will be able to have access to classwork, tutorials and practice quizzes through their www.vhlcentral account. if a student is not Present in class, it is the student responsibility to visit the supersite www.vhlcentral.com and submit the classwork activity for that day.
